Great managers are not individuals who are in it for their own accolades. They are committed to developing their employees’ abilities, leading by example, and spending more time looking after their subordinates instead of themselves. Celebrate the success of your team and give thanks to those who go above and beyond. You can also help those in need by offering advice or helping them meet their obligations.

It might seem like a clever idea to have a team composed of people who share similar traits and personalities because they will get along well with one another. However, it is important to consider putting together a diverse team composed of individuals with different perspectives and solutions. A diverse workplace is an asset to a company, as it can leverage the individual talents and potential of its employees. Being present, listening intently, and hearing deeply are some of the elements of intentional (empathetic) communication. This type of communication allows employees to leave an interaction feeling understood and heard, which, therefore, can create a more productive team member.
